Love it, love it, love it, times infinity. Being aware in the in the moment is at the heart of being. Nicely done.

Thank you what a beautiful way to put it, because the more present we become to this moment, the more we seem to reconnect with the quiet essence of who we are beneath all the noise, striving, and distraction. 🤍

Can you imagine what the world would feel like if even half of us got to this point?

Ndizeye__'s avatar

It would probably feel quieter, kinder, and far less driven by fear, because people who are more aware of themselves often move through the world with more compassion, honesty, and care for others as well.

Once you shift from "am I there yet" to "what's different now", the constant small shifts become impossible to unsee. which means the real block was never the lack of change but the measurement system pointing at the wrong layer.

Ndizeye__'s avatar

That’s a really insightful observation, because shifting your attention from outcomes to present differences can reveal subtle ongoing change that was always there, gently showing how perception itself shapes what we recognise as progress.

Wow, I absolutely LOVED this. Sitting still in the space between who you used to be and who you are still becoming can trigger some serious impatience, but that's exactly where the beauty lies.

Ndizeye__'s avatar

Absolutely the space between what was and what’s emerging can feel uncomfortable, but it’s often where our deepest growth quietly takes root.

That was such a beautiful reflection on the value of the quiet growth and the subtle shift. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

Thank you some of the most meaningful transformations happen so quietly that we only recognize their beauty when we pause long enough to look back.

This is a stunningly powerful piece! I am constantly working with clients on non-judgmentally noticing their thoughts, but I was having a hard time noticing the subtle shifts and changes I've experienced myself. Thank you for naming it so beautifully!

"Not perfect. Not complete. But undeniably shifting. And something unexpected happened when I did that. The pressure started to soften. Not because my life suddenly became easier. But because I stopped fighting the pace of my own transformation. I stopped demanding visible proof of internal progress. And I started trusting subtler evidence."

"And noticing is a completely different kind of power. It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t pressure. It doesn’t demand acceleration. It simply reveals what is already unfolding. And when you start seeing your life through that lens, something stabilizes inside you."

Ndizeye__'s avatar

That’s a really grounding reflection, because when we shift from demanding visible proof to gently noticing subtle internal change, we begin to trust the quiet unfolding of our own growth in a way that brings a deeper sense of stability, ease, and self-understanding.

100%! Letting go of the outcome or expectations of growth and allowing it to reveal itself as I go along is so freeing that I can feel the calm in my body grow deeper!

Ndizeye__'s avatar

Absolutely there’s something deeply peaceful about trusting growth to unfold naturally, because when we stop forcing outcomes, we create space to actually feel the quiet transformation happening within us.

I really liked how you articulated this feeling of dissatisfaction, a sense of incomplete as we often struggle to complete the checklist we have built for ourselves in our heads. Not everything we do needs a goal, nor does it need to serve a purpose other than our contentment.

Ndizeye__'s avatar

That’s a really wise insight, because when we soften the pressure of constant goals, we create space to simply be present and find contentment in what already is.

I have been measuring myself against a version of myself that does not exist yet and finding the gap unbearable.

The pause before reacting where there used to be impulse. The awareness before speaking where there used to be automatic expression. These are the changes I keep dismissing because they do not look dramatic from the outside.

What this piece quietly named is that the internal stability being built is real even when it creates no applause. And I needed that reminder today more than I realized. So, thank you for that 🤍

What a beautiful realization some of the most important growth happens quietly within us, and the stability you’re building in those small unseen moments is every bit as real and valuable as the changes that others can see.

The Unraveling's avatar

The stability that nobody applauds is still stability. That is what I needed to hear today. Thank you N.E. for writing something that helped me see my own quiet movement more clearly 🤍

DK, The Unraveling

Ndizeye__'s avatar

That’s a really grounding realization, because even the quiet, unseen stability you’re building within yourself is real progress, and it matters deeply even when no one else is there to notice it. 🤍

The Unraveling's avatar

The progress that happens when no one is watching is still progress. You are right. Sometimes it is the most honest kind. Thank you for this. 🤍

Ndizeye__'s avatar

That’s a really grounding truth, because progress made in silence is often the most authentic kind, even when it goes unseen by others.

The Unraveling's avatar

The most honest growth rarely announces itself. Thank you for that reminder. 🤍

I love how you call your publication a 'journal'. I've found reading back and reflecting on past weeks, months and years in my personal journal is the best way to notice the small changes over time.

Ndizeye__'s avatar

That’s a really thoughtful reflection, because just like your journal, returning to past moments can quietly reveal how much we’ve changed through the small, almost invisible shifts over time.

Oh the beauty of aging and growing up! Thank you for putting this all so petically!

Ndizeye__'s avatar

That’s a really lovely way to see it, because there’s a quiet beauty in growing through life where reflection, awareness, and softness toward ourselves can turn even change and aging into something deeply meaningful and poetic.

WOW this was such a timely read. Thank you for naming what I’ve been experiencing so eloquently. This was a much needed reminder!

Ndizeye__'s avatar

I’m really glad it landed at the right moment for you, because sometimes the right reminder just gently brings us back to ourselves exactly when we need it most.
