I think love often reveals parts of ourselves we didn’t know were there, and sometimes the lesson is learning how to love deeply without losing ourselves in the process. The season of life we’re in can shape that lesson, but either way, the right kind of love should leave us more ourselves, not less.

Having loved—loved deeply—can transform us. It can expand us, awaken something within us, and can change the way we perceive our own lives.
But when we forget who we are and completely merge into the one we love, we tend to lose ourselves.
Love is meant to elevate, not consume us. To walk beside another without abandoning who we are - but being humans, it happens sometimes.
I think it also depends on where you are personally in your life when love finds you- then the question is - what is about to teach you.
